Jackson police are searching for a gunman after a shooting on the city's north side Friday afternoon. It happened in the 3300 block of Memphis Street, around 12:30 p.m.

Investigators say a 33-year-old man was shot in the left hip and right wrist.

The victim told officers two black men in a black four-door vehicle stopped in front of a home at 3360 Memphis Street and started firing shots at him.

The shooters then reportedly fled the scene.

Police closed off the street as they collected evidence.

A white work van and Chevy impala were also shot up during the gun fire.
