JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -
There were some scary moments Saturday afternoon at a west Jackson Burger King.
Police say an armed man attempted to rob the fast food restaurant and two people inside.
It happened about 12:35 p.m. at the Burger King in the 5,500 block of Robinson Road Extension.
The would be robber jumped the counter but was not able to open a cash register.
Officers say he then tried to rob two bystanders but was unsuccessful in getting money from them.
As the unidentified man ran away, he fired a shot in the air.
No one was injured during the armed robbery attempt, and an arrest has not been made.
