RIDGELAND, MS (Mississippi News Now) -
A car and bike showcase is helping Jackson area teens lead more positive lives.
Mississippi's finest car and bike show was held Saturday at Northpark Mall.
The open car show featured vintage vehicles dating back to the 1920's, as well as modern automobiles.
Car owners competed in more than 20 categories.
The two wheeled mode of transportation was also on display.
The event was held to benefit the Cryout Teen Organization of Jackson.
The non-profit is designed to assist children ages 12 to 21.
"We basically focus on trying to change our youth's outlook on life... A lot of children have nothing to do after school, no extracurricular activities. So we get them kind of involved in something else outside of just hanging out," said Cryout Teen Organization founder Zundra Bateaste-Sutton.
Car show participants came from the metro area, Louisiana and Tennessee.
