JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -
A number of F.E.M.A. Disaster Recovery Centers are open in central Mississippi to help residents recover from Hurricane Isaac.
Disaster Recovery Centers 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. until further notice.
F.E.M.A. has opened a D.R.C. in Adams, Hinds, Lincoln, Pike, Walthall, and Wilkinson counties.
The Adams County facility is the only location that has a 1-5 p.m. Sunday schedule.
Mississippi Emergency Management, F.E.M.A., and Small Business Administration officials are on hand to answer questions from storm victims.
"They can make claims for home repair, personal property damage, transportation damage...those sorts of things," explains F.E.M.A. Disaster Recovery Center Manager Diane Bridges.
Storm victims are encouraged to register with F.E.M.A. before going to a Disaster Recovery Center by going to its website at www.disasterassistance.gov or by calling 1-800-621-3362.
