The primary problem and concern with today's weather is going to fall under the realm of the morning drive to work. The heavy showers will shift quickly to the east, but leave in its wake significant puddles on highways as well as side roads.
Showers should come to and end (at the latest) by lunchtime. Expect a high near 80 degrees with winds N 5-10 mph.
Tonight it's unlikely that the rain will hang on, but we may see a few more clouds still in place. The early evening hours will have the most clouds in place; and the cold front will slice through the state overnight.
The effect of the cold front will be felt immediately as we cool down to the 50s, with relatively light winds.
Wednesday we start off with cool/chilly sunshine and winds from the north. The rest of the work week, from a meteorological standpoint, will be UN-eventful, just some sunshine, clear skies, highs in the upper 70s. And the lows will hover in the 50s, making for a 'real' fall feel, particularly in the morning and late night hours.
