MADISON COUNTY, MS (Mississippi News Now) -
A Reunion homeowner is asking for the publics help in locating his son's pet snake. Jackson attorney John Arthur Eaves says his son's six-foot Columbian Red Tail Boa named "Puppy" went missing Saturday morning.
It was sitting in the back of a pickup in his driveway in an aquarium on Cedar Woods Cove overnight. When they woke up he was gone.
"Our concern is of course the neighborhood. We don't want anybody to be concerned. We consulted with experts and they usually don't go far," says Eaves.
Eaves has alerted his neighbors to be on the lookout, and police of the situation.
Eaves says Puppy has never bitten anyone.
Snake experts say Boa's are non-venomous, and are harmless to humans and large animals.
Eaves neighbors are searching their properties for Puppy too, but so far he hasn't been sighted.
A $400.00 reward is being offered for the missing pet. Anyone with information is asked to call 601-316-2222.
