More Sunshine, but cooler temps

Posted: Updated:
JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

The morning chill is definitely for real. We started off in the 50s and actually feeling like the 40s in some area. Mostly sunny skies for today with a high near 79 degrees, which is below the norm for this time of the year.

The fall feel is in full effect for day, especially with the winds from the north 10-15 mph.

Tonight its expected to stay clear and a bit on the cool side as well. Temps will quickly drop into the 50s under clear skies and light winds.

Winds will push from the north at 5-10 mph, with hardly a cloud in the sky. We will get close to record lows, but not expecting it to really threaten it.

Thursday the sunshine is expected to make another 'grand' appearance; meaning hardly a clouds to accompany it. Highs will get a chance to climb into the lower 80s; but we'll still stay below the norm for this time of the year.
