The Mississippi Food Network is one of several community groups co-sponsoring the "Know Hunger Nutrition Fairs."
The first of two health fairs was held on Wednesday in Vicksburg. The second one is Thursday at the Salvation Army Community Center in Jackson.
If you go, you can take advantage of free health screenings, plus eat some healthy food and participate in exercise demos. Fitness trainer and JSU's Fitness and Wellness Coordinator Tyrone Hargro has some simple moves to show people.
"I have 28 exercises lined up and they're all going to be with light weights and high repetitions because people believe you have to go in the gym and lift a whole lot of weights, all you have to do is do your reps and that's it," Hargro said.
The "Know Hunger Nutrition Fair" is Thursday at the Salvation Army Community Center in Jackson from 3 until 6 p.m. The address is 570 E. Beasley Road.
