MADISON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -
Madison Police have recovered a missing snake that escaped from a pickup truck last weekend in the Reunion area.
Officers were called to the 400 block of Northbay Drive around 9:30 Friday night about a large snake. Police located and captured the snake and noticed it fit the general description of "Puppy", a 6-foot Columbian Red Tail Boa belonging to John Arthur Eaves, Jr.
The snake didn't appear to be harmed or injured, and was released to his owner. Police don't know how the snake traveled from one side of town to the other.
