ROCK HILL, SC (WBTV) -

A York County woman is facing charges after police say her preteen daughter had to call 911 to say she was driving drunk.

According to a Rock Hill Police report, officers received a call to 911 by an 11-year-old girl. The young girl told officers that her mother, 38-year-old Miranda Flowers, had driven her home while drunk.

When officers arrived at the home, the girl pointed to her mother and a car which was partially blocking the roadway at apartments on Rose Street, saying it was the car her mother had driven.

The girl told officers that her mother had consumed at least two beers earlier in the day and then two medium-sized margaritas at El Cancun Mexican restaurant on Cherry Road.

Flowers' daughter, who was the only person in the car according to police, told officers that her mother nearly hit two cars and was swerving in the roadway while on the way home.

Officers spoke with Flowers, who said she only had two margaritas at the restaurant, the report states.

Jessica Garvey lives across the street and says she witnessed the officer trying to give Flowers a field sobriety test. "She was failing miserably. She couldn't touch her nose," said Garvey.

According to the report, officers attempted to call the girl's father to take custody, but Flowers refused to give out the number.

She also became combative when officers attempted to administer several field sobriety tests.

According to the report, she began to cry before she became "flirtatious" with police by wrinkling her nose, winking and making innuendos by calling one officer "love."

When asked about the little girl, Garvey said she felt sorry for her. "I would hate to have to call the police on my parents and be put in danger by the person's who supposed to take care of you," she said.

Flowers was charged with driving under the influence and child endangerment. She has been released from jail on a $2,500 bond.
