West Nile death reported in Madison County

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Mississippi health officials are reporting a new death from West Nile virus.

The death was in Madison County. This brings the state's total this year to five.

Deaths have also been reported in Lincoln, Smith and Rankin counties.

There have been 195 reported cases of the virus in Mississippi this year.
