Two Hinds County men are headed to prison for drug trafficking.
Johnny Earl Course, 39, of Byram, and David E. Jones, 54, of Edwards, were sentenced in U.S. District Court this week for possession of over 100 kilograms of marijuana with intent to distribute.
Course was sentenced to serve 62 months in prison followed by four years of supervised release, and Jones was sentenced to serve 87 months in prison followed by four years of supervised release.
A third defendant in the case, Jeremy Lee Stambaugh, 42, of Clinton, was sentenced on August 13 and ordered to serve 39 months in prison followed by four years of supervised release.
All three defendants were arrested in February, 2012, with 410 pounds of marijuana at Paradise Auto Sales, 1800 Gallatin St., in Jackson.
