JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -
The annual Wells Fest brought in a rocking line Saturday up to help a Jackson YMCA.
A number of local artists, along with country music singer- song writer and Mississippi native Mac McAnally entertained the crowds.
The 29th annual event also featured a number of arts and crafts, a silent auction, and children's activities.
Wells United Methodist Church created the festival to give back to Jackson area service organizations, in a spiritual atmosphere.
All proceeds from this year's Wells Fest will benefit the Farish Street YMCA, to upgrade its playground.
Organizers estimated a record crowd of 20,000 in attendance at the festival.
