Woman airlifted to hospital after crash in Attala County

ATTALA COUNTY, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

A woman is airlifted to a hospital after an early morning accident in Attala County.

According to kosyonline.com, it happened about 12:15 on Highway 12, east of Kosciusko.

Authorities told the news outlet an unidentified 59-year-old woman swerved to miss a deer when she lost control of her car.

The small vehicle crashed into an embankment.

No word on the extent of the driver's injury.

The crash remains under investigation.
