JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -
The homicide count continued to rise this weekend when the victim of a Friday night stabbing died Sunday.
Jackson police investigated the violent attack around 10:15 p.m. Friday outside the Waffle House on East McDowell Road.
The victim was transported to University Medical Center.
Hinds County Coroner Sharon Grisham Stewart has identified the man as 47-year-old William Nuby of Jackson.
He died just after 12:30 a.m. Sunday.
Nuby suffered stab wounds to the shoulder, neck and upper chest.
An investigation into that fatal stabbing is ongoing.
No arrests have been made.
