Monday is last day to get home buying assistance

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Monday is the last day to take advantage of home buying assistance from the Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America.

NACA calls it the 'Save the Dream Event' and its a free workshop where existing homeowners with an unaffordable mortgage can get a free loan modification.

The event can also help those who lost their home due to foreclosure and those looking to buy a home.

Hundreds of counselors and bank representatives from major lenders will be on hand providing services.

The event is being held at the convention complex in downtown Jackson it will end at 6 p.m. Monday.
