"Pink Out" is on the schedule for 21 area football events this October. 19 high schools and two community colleges are participating to raise awareness of breast cancer and the importance of early detection.
The campaign is called Tackle a Cure. During October, which is breast cancer awareness month, coaches, players, cheerleaders and students will dress in pink and pink accessories to raise awareness.
Schools are partnering with and in support of Susan Komen, Mississippi Steel Magnolias and the American Cancer Society.
