More sunshine and pollen

Posted: Updated:
JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Early morning spot showers making an impact on several counties/ parishes along the Mississippi river this morning. The isolated showers are going to have a limited 'shelf life' and break up by mid morning.

Another spot of rain may kick in by the afternoon hours, with a high of 81 degrees and winds from the south. The pollen count is steadily rising with Chenopods and Ragweed.

Tonight we'll clear out pretty quickly and cool off rapidly as well. Temps will fall into the mid to lower 50s under mainly clear skies. And the winds will die down as well, staying light and from the south.

Thursday the sunshine returns with a bit of a vengeance, rising temps a result. Expect highs to climb to the mid to upper 80s under mainly sunny skies.
