Researchers say babies whose mothers had high blood pressure during pregnancy scored lower on thinking ability tests throughout adulthood.
The finding was strongest for math-related reasoning. Hypertension affects about 10-percent of pregnancies. @@
This study is from researchers at the University of Helsinki in Finland, and is published in Neurology, the medical journal of the American Academy of Neurology.
