Hinds county mails absentee ballots

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Hinds county has mailed off absentee ballots for members of the armed forces stationed outside of their home areas around the country and the globe.

Supervisor Robert Graham tells us they will have their ballots in plenty of time for the election which is just over a month away.

Graham also said that the total number of ballots for those service members who will be voting absentee is just under 100.

    One person has died in a crash near Harrisonville, MO, Thursday evening. The crash happened on Missouri Highway 7 and Walker Road. It involved a car and a tractor-trailer. Harrisonville is in Cass County.
    Savannah Nash celebrated her 16th birthday last week. She died Thursday when her car slammed into a semi while she was texting during her first time driving by herself.
