Escapee Search in Smith County

Authorities in Smith County are searching for a burglary suspect who managed to break free.

Terry Bynum was being taken from the Smith County courthouse to the jail Tuesday when he managed to escape.

He was wearing handcuffs and an orange jumpsuit, but no one has been able to find him.

Sheriff Charlie Crumpton says Bynum is not considered dangerous, but he will be charged with felony escape once he's found. He was in custody for several house burglaries in Smith County.
