CLINTON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -
Seven school committee judges gathered at the Clinton Park Elementary School cafeteria Wednesday to taste recipes turned in by students.
The judges are choosing the "top chef" from each school in the district for the first ever Taste of Clinton Public School District Recipe Contest.
They are looking for creativity and originality of the recipe.
Some of the featured entrees included BBQ chicken, pizza, Mexican casserole and tuna melts.
The "top chefs" will be announced later this week.
Each winning recipe will be cooked for school lunch October 17 during national school lunch week.
