MDOT ALERT: Lane changes for I-55 N. at Ridgeland/Madison

Posted: Updated:
MADISON COUNTY, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

MDOT is alerting the public about a major traffic shift that occurred on the I-55 Split Diamond Project Sunday morning.

At 9 a.m. both northbound and southbound traffic was moved into the existing southbound lanes.

Each direction will have two lanes. The lane changes are between Old Agency Road in Ridgeland and Hwy 463 in Madison.

The work for this phase will last up to a year.

This shift will clear the north bound lanes of traffic and allow for the replacement of the Steed Road and Madison Avenue bridges. Also for the installation of the new Colony Park bridge at the new street's crossing location.
