JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -
Jackson police responded to a business robbery at the Delta Mart shopping center Monday morning. It happened around 10:30 a.m. at the Family Dollar located at 3153 Medgar Evers Boulevard.
J.P. D. spokesperson Colendula Green says a black male entered the business, then robbed a clerk at gunpoint, taking cash from the register.
The man fled the scene on foot. He's described as a black male, wearing all black.
Police are now investigating multiple heists at Family Dollar locations around the city. There have been five heists in the last three months.
The Briarwood location was hit in July. The Terry road location was struck twice during the month of August. The Northside drive location was robbed in September.
Surveillance video from some of the robberies show one or more black males committing the crime.
No arrests have been made in these cases.
