JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -
Flu vaccines are now available at all county health departments.
It is recommended for everyone older than six months of age, including pregnant women.
State epidemiologist Dr. Thomas Dobbs says peak flu activity usually runs January through march but it's not uncommon to see activity in the fall.
This year's vaccine has been modified to protect against two new viral strains.
