A Madison-based company is trimming its workforce. L-3 Vertex announced Tuesday it is reducing the staff by 28 employees at their headquarters in Madison.
The company says declining defense budgets are to blame. L-3 Vertex provides aviation and aerospace technical services, primarily for U.S. government customers.
L-3 Vertex is now a wholly-owned subsidiary of L-3 Communications, which has 11,000 employees at 300 locations worldwide.
