GREGG COUNTY, TX (KLTV) -

Two bodies found in a duplex, Wednesday afternoon were sent to Tyler for autopsies overnight. Longview Police are done at the scene and will not be back out there, but the investigation into the cause of the deaths is still ongoing.

Officer Kristie Brian with the Longview Police Department said, "We've had representatives of the District Attorney's office, Longview Police Department here at the scene taking pictures, video, measurements and things of that nature."

Longview Police obtained a search warrant, Wednesday afternoon and entered the scene at The Timbers community, in the 100 block of Jester Circle, a duplex community on the west side of town.

Longview Police say after responding to a welfare check, they made initial entry into the residence, saw two deceased individuals inside the home, and left the unit while awaiting a search warrant.
