3 injured in northwest Jackson shooting

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Three people are injured after shots were fired Friday evening on Slayton Avenue in northwest Jackson.

Police say two women and one man suffered non-life threatening injuries.

It happened shortly after 7:20 p.m. JPD says two of the unidentified victims were shot inside a car, while the other was standing outside of the vehicle.

The gunman fled on foot.

No suspects or motive have been identified in the shooting.
