Construction worker remains in critical condition after Friday fall

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

The construction worker who was injured after falling from a Jackson building Friday remains hospitalized.

Baptist Health System officials say the unidentified iron worker is listed in critical condition at University Medical Center.

Just before 11 a.m. Friday morning the subcontractor fell from the 5th floor of the construction site of the Belhaven building on State Street. It is located across the street from Baptist Medical Center.

Jackson Police say the worker's harness broke.

The injured worker was a subcontractor for Harrell Construction.
