One man killed, another injured in homicide investigation

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

One man has died and another is recovering from an early Sunday morning shooting in north Jackson.

J.P.D. Spokesperson Colendula Green said officers responded to a shots fired call in the 200 block of Delmar Street, off State Street.

Shortly after 5 a.m. Jackson police arrived to find that two men were shot.

Investigators said an unidentified 29 year old was transported to a local hospital where he later died.

We do not have the extent of his injuries.

Another man, 30 years old, was shot in the shoulder.

Green said his wounds were not life threatening.

The two were shot outside a residence on Delmar Street.

No motive has been determined, and no suspects have been identified.
