We've all burned our tongue or the roof of our mouth trying to sip hot coffee or eat hot pizza.
Scientists at the University of Texas have developed a dissolvable strip that provides instant pain relief for mouth burns.
The strip contains an anesthetic that's used in dental products and throat lozenges.
Researchers say it works like breath strips ... Just apply it directly to the burn and it gradually dissolves while healing.
The strips are not yet available in stores.
This study was led by researchers at University of Texas, Austin and presented at the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists meeting.
