JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -
The Jackson Public Works department is working to clear a clogged sewer line on Powers Avenue. The 21-inch line has been backed up for several hours.
Fire hydrants on the street have been opened to get the sewer flowing.
Some residents have reported their toilets have backed up, but the city workers say it should be going out as they clear the pipes.
