Afternoon auto accident injures 5

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

An afternoon auto accident sent five people to the hospital, including two infants, and damaged a downtown Jackson building.

It happened just before 1:30 at the intersection of Lamar and Pearl Streets. A red Oldsmobile crashed into an office building.

A silver Pontiac also received heavy front end damage.

We are told the accident victims suffered non life-threatening injuries.

Jackson Police are investigating the crash.
