JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -
During the week it's a site for school work, but Sunday St. Richard Catholic School was all about fun!
The annual Fun Fest took place from 11 a.m. Sunday morning until 3 p.m.
The street carnival featured games, activities, food and more.
Vendors sold jewelry, art, collegiate items and children's clothing organizers say it's a way to provide support for the parents association, who in turn give back to the school.
"We fill in the gaps in the schools budget for teacher support, field trips. Last year we were responsible for buying 26 iPads for the school and this year we hope to beef up our computer lab and contribute more to technology," said St. Richard's Parents Association president, Christi Campbell.
A group of kids from St. Richard who formed a band, also entertained the crowd.
