Eight new West Nile Virus cases reported

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

The Mississippi Department of Health is reporting eight new cases of West Nile Virus in our state. The new cases were found in Adams, Jones, Lincoln, Rankin, Perry, Sunflower, and Washington counties. That brings the state total to 233 cases and five deaths this year. This is the highest number of West Nile cases ever reported in Mississippi.
