Early morning dense fog will cause a major slow down along the I-20 and I-55 corridors, especial south of I-20 until mid morning. After a break in the fog, we'll warm up rapidly, climbing to the lower 80s with winds from the southeast 6-11 mph. We're also keeping a close eye on 'Sandy' in the Atlantic; expected to strengthen to a Category 1 hurricane before the day is done.
Tonight we're going to mainly expect the skies to stay clear as the temps slow drop during the evening hours. Temps are slowly going to fall back into the 50s, and winds continue from the southeast at 5-10 mph.
Tomorrow the early morning hours may feature a few areas of patchy fog, especially the northwest corner of the state. Temps will climb into the lower 80s, and winds southeast 10-15 mph. We're still watching out for rain on Saturday as a cold front pushes through, dropping highs into the 60s for next week!
