Stressed out parents are more likely to have obese children.
Researchers found parents with a lot of stress are more likely to head to a fast food restaurant or serve high calorie convenience foods .... Instead of making a well balanced meal.
Parental stress did not appear to affect the amount of fruits and veggies their children ate ... Or their exercise levels.
The study also revealed black and Hispanic children, children from single parent homes and those from financially strapped families were more vulnerable to the effect of stress on their weight.
-Study led by researchers at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and published in 'Pedatrics'
