PEARL, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Entergy is sending more than 300 workers to the Eastern U.S. where Hurricane Sandy makes landfall, including 47 workers from Mississippi.

Saturday afternoon WLBT caught up with 22 workers from Southwestern Electric Power as they made a quick stop in Pearl.

The Shreveport-based group is sending three line crews in anticipation of the damage Sandy could bring to the Eastern seaboard.

This group will be based in Baltimore, Maryland.

Entergy crews from Mississippi could be serving in Delaware, The District of Columbia, Maryland, or New Jersey.
