Gas prices dropping in the metro area

BYRAM, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

There is some relief at the pumps for drivers in the metro area where gas prices drop below $3  a gallon.

Viewers tell us there is a gas war going on in Byram and motorists are coming out the winners.

We found some of the cheapest prices in the area there.

Regular gas is going for $2.99 a gallon at Blue Sky, the Exxon and Kangeroo stations.

According to Gas Buddy.com Byram has the lowest prices in the area with at least one location offering regular for $2.96 a gallon.

The average in Jackson is $3.25 while the national average is $3.57.
