Expect traffic delays on I-220 this week

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

There could be a delay in your evening commute this week on I-220, while MDOT replaces truss assemblies in the area.

From 7 p.m. until 6 a.m. Tuesday there will be lane closures at the Medgar Evers Boulevard Exit, in the southbound lanes.

Expect delays on Medgar Evers Boulevard on both sides of the roadway.

On Tuesday work will move to the Clinton Boulevard Exit, in the southbound lanes, during the same times. Also expect delays on Clinton Boulevard.

Wednesday there will be southbound closures at the Highway 80 Exit from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. 

Expect delays on Highway 80 as well.

Closures will be done in 15 to 30 minute intervals.
