The Mississippi Emergency Management Agency is sending three swift water rescue teams to Maryland to assist with rescue efforts there.
The teams are capable of transporting three survivors, the crew and equipment.
These swift water rescue teams are an important response tool created after Hurricane Katrina.
MEMA is prepared to send more support if other states request it.
