Mississippians looking for a job were at the Trade Mart in downtown Jackson Tuesday to take a look at the state's energy sector.
As part of Governor Phil Bryant's energy platform, various companies were on hand with a list of opportunities. Job seekers were able to fill out resumes and talk to representatives about energy jobs.
Event sponsors say the energy sector is becoming a large force in putting people to work and driving economic development in the state.
"Hopefully people will go out and look in the sector for opportunities and we can get the economy to continue rebounding here in Mississippi for all Mississippians who want work, to find work," said David Sparks with the Tennessee Valley Authority.
The job fair was sponsored by the governors office, Development Authority and the Department of Employment Security.
