Afternoon accident slows Brandon traffic

BRANDON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Brandon Police are investigating a two car crash on Highway 18 Tuesday afternoon.  It happened around four o'clock near the intersection of Star Road.     

The collision appears to have happened in the southbound lane.     

One black four door sedan ran off the roadway and down an embankment. Another black car, with extensive front end damage, was stopped on the shoulder of the highway.     

AMR was on scene, but officials have not released any information about injuries. We were told  there were no fatalities.
