Dallas police are back in central Mississippi searching for more recruits to join the force.
The men and women in blue are interviewing candidates this weekend on the Jackson State campus.
There's an agility test and interview process for applicants.
DPD says they are looking for eager people, ready to start a new career.
You may remember Dallas police were in the Capitol City searching for new officers in July. 100 applied during that recruitment trip and some of those applicants are already training in the academy.
Dallas police say Jackson and other regional cities play a vital role in filling 200 much needed positions.
"What we're trying to do is find the different sources where we have the best source of our candidates, go over there and recruit some. We are also going other places also, but because of the economy we have to look harder because other cities are looking also," explained Lt. Jerry Cockrell.
40 people have applied thus far.
Dallas police will be at the Walter Payton Center from 8-5 Saturday. A time will be determined for Sunday.
