Jackson house goes up in flames

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

A Jackson house goes up in flames Sunday night. It happened just after 7:30 p.m. at 2119 Pleasant Avenue.

Flames could be shooting from the roof and on the side of the home.

A billowing cloud of smoke rolled above as firefighters worked to bring the blaze under control, while WLBT crews were on the scene. 

No injuries were reported. The Jackson Fire Department did not know if anyone was inside the house when the fire began or if it was vacant.

The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
