AUBURN, Ala. (AP) - Auburn quarterback Jonathan Wallace will notch his first Southeastern Conference start.

Coach Gene Chizik said Sunday that he'll stick with the freshman Saturday night when No. 5 Georgia visits.

Wallace led Auburn to 35 second-half points in a 42-7 win over New Mexico State in his starting debut.

He passed for 164 yards and wasn't sacked in the game. He also threw a touchdown pass but was intercepted once.

Chizik says he liked the resiliency Wallace showed after a rocky start and adds that "eventually he made some really good things happen."

The Tigers had a season-high in points and yards with 475.

Wallace had a fumbled exchange and an interception in the first few series. He says Auburn must come out hot against Georgia.
