18-wheeler crashes into Canton building, 1 dead

CANTON, TX (KLTV) -

One person is dead after an 18-wheeler crashed into a Canton city building Tuesday afternoon.

Firefighters and first responders are on the scene.

According to officials on the scene, the 18-wheeler was eastbound on West Dallas Street when a SUV pull out in front of it. The semi collided with the SUV, crossed over a lane of traffic and into the Canton City Complex.

The driver of the semi died at the scene.

The building, which is next door to the Canton Police Department, is on fire. It's unknown at this time if there were any other injuries.
