Gas under $3.00 a gallon in the Metro

BRANDON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Gas prices are all over the map in the metro area, but we found unleaded fuel under $3.00 a gallon Wednesday.

At the Valero station at Crossgates Boulevard and I-20, people were filling the tanks with gas priced at $2.97.

Not far away, the Kangaroo at Highway 80 and Marlyn Drive was selling gasoline even cheaper. Drivers were greeted with a low price of $2.93.

There are a cluster of stations in this area of Brandon that have gasoline under the $3.00 mark. That;s something a lot of folks haven't seen for a while.
