Downtown Jackson gas leak blocked traffic

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

A gas-leak near downtown Jackson forced traffic to be blocked for part of the morning. It happened at the corner of Roach and South Street.

Atmos officials say someone digging a sign post hit a gas line, causing a minor leak.

Atmos workers brought in a backhoe to repair the line. The street has been re-opened and they hope to have the line fixed within the hour.
