Overnight wreck causes power outage in west Jackson

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

A single-vehicle wreck left about 1,300 customers without power overnight in west Jackson.

A car hit a utility pole at Robinson Street near Pecan Boulevard around 12:45 Thursday morning.

Power lines could be seen laying across the street.

Entergy officials reported more than 1,300 customers lost power. Power has since been restored.

The condition of the driver of the vehicle is not known at this time.
